James was an excellent coach making corrections as needed, demoing assistance exercises, giving out coaching cues, discussing the mental aspect of a lift, weightlifting movement %’s, and spending time with each of our athletes! We learned a ton from James and with that we hope to continue to grow as weightlifters/athletes. Thank you for your time!
I will try to share some quick thoughts about the weightlifting seminar:
-Going from each pull (1-3) remember to fight to maintain good positions
-Dont worry too much about your arms….let your hips do the work!
-Dirty Dancing Drill
-Use your hip as a pistol…deliver the blow!
-Improve your mobility to get into better positions
-Weight should drift back from the start
-Dynamic or Static Start?
-Have an understanding of the difference between 1RM Clean/Snatch Set-up compared to Crossfit style workouts
-Triple Extension vs. Catapult
-Missing the Power Position in lifts
-Yes we cover more than this…you should have been there!
